Hello Obu! It has been some years since I was in Obu on the 2003 Staff Exchange Program to Obu. How time flies! During my exchange I organised a 'Clean Up Obu Day', where residents helped clean up the Kuranagase River. The clean up was a huge success, with tonnes of rubbish collected. What a great day it was, especially the Aussie style BBQ at the end of the day! The exchange was an enriching and rewarding experience for me, both professionally and personally, and I thank everyone involved. It would never have happened without the generous support of the Obu City Hall staff and the greater Obu Community! The people of Obu made me feel welcome and gave me the best experience of my life, and a day does not go by when I don't think about the amazing time I had over there. I have since returned to Obu for a short visit in 2004, and I am planning another trip again soon. You can't keep me away! I will never forget the great time I had and the wonderful people I met! xo View several of Clarissa's photos [pdf, 1.84MG] here.
